you grab the weapon. Eyes falls to their knees as you walk to their side. they tell you to do it.
after a moment of hesitancy, you oblige.
the axe rises and lowers with a thud.
and again.
and again.
and again.
and again.until it's finally over.
it's time you get out of here before you're next.
your feet slowly begin to ache as you wander aimlessly through the white nothingness.
perhaps all your efforts have been in vain. you might need to restart completely.
not far from a zombie, you sit, defeated. it sees you and shambles over.not a great way to go, but it's a classic. plus, it stays in theme with the death screen.
you run for it and shut the door. you're greeted with a bedroom and a grin too goofy to take seriously. maybe this wasn't the best choice. you'd ask if they know Fergie, but they're not worth your time.
maybe you should look around instead.
as expected, a red figure appears with your reflection.
you ask where it is, and it smiles.
now you know where to go and what to look for— west, and a trap door out in the open.
Goof compliments you "talking to yourself" and you interrupt, asking if they have any weapons. they say no as the room disappears. you walk away.
unfortunately, they tag along and ramble about how good they can fight without weapons, until they spot a box. they tell you to open it because it might have loot... or a trap.
there's nothing under there. what, you expect there to be a skeleton or something? that'd be cool, but no.
you step on a land mine.

you give in and open the box to find a button, which Goof immediately slams their foot into. it emits loud music you'd hear a scene kid blast and zombies come rushing over.
the pissy smell almost makes you die of anger until someone with bandaged eyes swings their axe through the crowd, beheading, disarming and de-legging. Goof cheers as you both get out of the way.
after their massacre, No-Eyes introduces themself and asks for names. you and Goof give them, and when asked about your Hero title, you explain your mission.No-Eyes says they found a key that might lead to the trap door you mentioned and give it to you.
the conversation is cut short when someone starts screaming and running from a hoard of zombies.
the others are quick to go and help, but you're already sick of these things.
oh hey, it's the trap door.
